New Nelson Mandela Banknotes

The new Nelson Mandela banknotes are here! And they are truly beautiful. Designed and illustrated by Cape Town based agency Am I Collective, each note represents a pivotal moment in Nelson Mandela’s political career. They created this TVC in collaboration with Jupiter Drawing Room to introduce the newly designed notes to the public. Can’t wait until I can hold my very own fresh, crisp Mandela notes gracefully distributed from the ATM.   Share → Tweet

“Die son trek water” (the sun draws water) means that it’s getting late. I’m not sure where it comes from, but I must say I like it. I’m not sure why. This isn’t the kind of thing you say when you’ve spent 12 hours at work, it’s already dark and you have to sit in traffic, itching to get home. Hunger Games Printable Poster

Okay, I’m officially Hunger Games obsessed. I’m am halfway through the second book, Catching Fire and the suspense in our household is intense. To make matters worse we are also moving house at the end of the month, which really doesn’t help. But when we were thinking of prints we could frame for all the empty walls in the new place, I knew I had to get a tribute to the girl on fire in there somewhere. In case you are as devoted to Katnis Everdeen as I am, download a... Read The Rest →

The 100 Poster Project

One day I casually decided that I’ll turn 100 idioms into poster designs. You know, as one does. (Admittedly it did sound much easier in theory than it is in practice) But then I stumbled on an awesome project where designer Nicole Meyer is Branding 10,000 Lakes. Talk about daunting. She writes that by doing one logo every day, it should only take, oh roughly 27 years! I love the clean and contemporary style of her work and am truly in awe of this kind of ambitious undertaking. Luckily this... Read The Rest →
